About the role

Broadmeadow School is rated “good” by Ofsted and is situated in Wolverhampton. We are a special school for pupils with complex difficulties whose current age range is 5 to 11 years, who are seeking to appoint a motivated, dedicated and driven Assistant Head Teacher. We are an Academy School, part of the Central Learning Partnership Trust (CLPT). We strive to ensure our children receive an education which inspires and promotes positive learning and ensure that rigorous CPD supports all staff in becoming the best they can be. The school will expand to an all through school in 2028 on a new site with bespoke facilities and resources. This post is not suitable for ECT's. Core Responsibilities : Essential Qualifications & Experience : Relevant professional qualifications or willingness to undertake training Experience in a similar role or transferable skills from a related field Strong knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices Experience of working in a special school Has worked with SEND pupils; particularly those with complex learning needs Ability to improvise and adapt at short notice Excellent behaviour management skills. Training & Development : Commitment to ongoing professional development Participation in relevant training to maintain up-to-date knowledge Key Skills & Attributes : Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail Applicant Qualities: We are looking for someone who is: Flexible, adaptable and creative and able to respond positively to change.
