Lytham St Annes High School (LSA) is seeking a dedicated Careers Coordinator to support our whole‑school careers programme and ensure every student has access to high‑quality careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG). You will play a key role in delivering the Gatsby Benchmarks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting students as they explore their next steps. This role is varied, rewarding, and central to helping students feel informed, supported, and confident about their future pathways. The nature of the role may mean there will be the need to work additional hours outside of the normal working hours, for example early mornings or after school. These will be discussed and agreed with the post holder ahead of time. What the role involves Providing day‑to‑day administrative and organisational support to the Careers Lead. Maintaining accurate student records relating to careers guidance, destinations and activities. Organising careers interviews, employer visits, careers fairs and work experience placements. Managing communication with employers, colleges, universities and training providers. Coordinating timetables for careers activities across year groups. Collecting and maintaining student destination data and tracking engagement. Supporting students and parents with transition to college. Assisting with Ofsted‑related reporting and internal reviews. Ensuring GDPR compliance and safe data handling at all times. Completing safeguarding, health & safety and risk assessment checks for work experience placements. Supporting external partnerships and meeting Baker Clause requirements. Maintaining the school’s careers platform and associated documentation.
