We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Playworker to lead our after-school wrap-around care provision. This role will be key in ensuring a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for children aged 3 - 11 during the after-school hours. Key responsibilities will include Lead and supervise the daily running of the after-school club: This includes planning and delivering engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, and maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Plan and prepare healthy and nutritious meals for the children. This may involve menu planning, writing grocery shopping lists, and basic food preparation. Support a team of Playworkers: This may include delegating tasks, providing guidance and support, and conducting regular team meetings. Maintain accurate records: This includes attendance registers, incident reports, and communication logs. Liaise with parents/carers: This includes communicating effectively about club activities, addressing any concerns, and building positive relationships. Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare legislation and safeguarding policies. Contribute to the ongoing development of the after-school club. This may include identifying areas for improvement, developing new activities, and sourcing new resources. Desirable Skills and Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong organisational and time-management skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; First Aid; Food Hygiene Certificate; Experience of meal preparation for children; Passionate about providing high-quality childcare; Experience of leading a team; Experience of working with children with additional needs; Experience of planning and delivering creative and engaging activities.
