About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for two pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential within a supportive and inclusive school environment. Working under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo, you will: Provide tailored one-to-one support for two named pupils with EHCPs. Help pupils access the curriculum through personalised strategies and targeted interventions. Support pupils' communication, social, emotional and behavioural development. Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers and external professionals to ensure the pupils' needs are effectively met. Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for someone who Has experience of working with primary-aged children, ideally including children with additional needs. Is patient, caring and able to build positive, trusting relationships with children. Has an understanding of supporting pupils with SEND and is willing to develop their knowledge through training. Is adaptable, resilient and able to respond positively to individual needs. Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Will support and uphold the Christian vision and values of St Michael's C.E. Primary School.
