We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys. About the Role Reporting to the SENDCo, the HLTA will play a key role in supporting students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will help remove barriers to learning, promote independence and inclusion, and contribute to raising pupil attainment and engagement. What We Are Looking For We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who: Has experience working with children and young people, ideally within a school environment. Has experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a strong understanding of strategies that promote their learning and wellbeing Is organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities effectively. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, staff, parents and external professionals. Understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Works well as part of a team and is committed to making a positive difference to students' educational experiences.
