Site Officer

Salary: £26,403-£28,598 (dependant on experience) Contract: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks Reporting to: Facilities Manager Start Date: September/October Join Our Team Stamford Welland Academy is seeking a reliable, proactive and skilled Site Officer to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in maintenance, facilities management, caretaking, construction, estates, or a similar role. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring our academy site is well-maintained, compliant, and fit for purpose. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Ensure the security of the academy site, including unlocking and locking buildings. Carry out routine inspections of the premises and grounds. Undertake general maintenance, repairs and decorating tasks. Monitor and maintain health and safety standards across the site. Support compliance with fire safety, Legionella, asbestos and other statutory requirements. Carry out regular testing and recording of site safety checks. Maintain academy grounds to a high standard. Liaise with and supervise contractors working on site. Assist with room setups and site preparations for academy events. Respond promptly to site issues and emergencies. Promote a safe and positive environment for all members of the school community. We Are Looking For Someone Who: Has practical maintenance or caretaking experience. Possesses good DIY and problem-solving skills. Understands health and safety requirements within a workplace environment. Can work independently and use their initiative. Has excellent organisational and communication skills. Is flexible, dependable and takes pride in their work. Works effectively as part of a team. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
