The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and caring Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our thriving Reception team. You will work closely with our Early Years (EYFS) team to deliver an ambitious, bespoke curriculum. You will maintain our high standards of learning and support children's personal development, well-being, and academic progress. Key Responsibilities: Support Learning: Assist with early literacy, phonics, and numeracy activities to build strong foundations, alongside working with the class team to enable children to thrive in all of the EYFS areas of learning. Nurture Faith & Values: Model and support our school's core Christian values. Encourage Independence: Facilitate purposeful play-based learning that builds children's confidence. Create Resources: Prepare creative learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. Ensure Inclusivity: Support all children, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued. We are looking for an individual who: Holds a full and recognised Level 3 EYFS qualification that meets the Department for Education (DfE) criteria. Demonstrates current and extensive professional practice in a Reception or EYFS classroom setting, that is recognised by your peers as strong and having positive impact on childrenβs outcomes. Is adept at working well as part of a strong and experienced team. Possesses a deep understanding of the Early Years framework and play-based learning and are skilled at using a range of teaching and learning support strategies to achieve high outcomes for children in EYFS, such as the SHREC approach. Has the skill and passion to support children to achieve our ambitious high outcomes. Is fully committed to championing our school's distinctive Christian values.
