Caretaker

We are looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic

and highly committed School Caretaker who will ensure that our children learn

in a safe, clean and healthy environment. The successful applicant will be an

important member of our school team and have a positive approach to this key

role.

The successful candidate will need to:

o Be dedicated,

hardworking and take pride in their work

o Be forward thinking,

proactive and able to use their own initiative in the role

o Be a team player who is

friendly and professional, relating well to adults and children

o Be responsible,

flexible and reliable with a good understanding of health and safety

requirements

o Be skilled in basic DIY

and have the ability to carry out minor repairs in school

The post will involve:

o Daily cleaning of a

section of the school building

o Site security including

locking and unlocking premises

o Routine repair and

maintenance tasks and porterage duties

o Liaison with

contractors and ordering cleaning/domestic materials

o Being the primary key

holder for the site and an out of hours emergency contact
