SET is an expanding multi-academy trust with 13 primary and 9 secondary schools. At Seething and Mundham Primary School our curriculum is designed to meet the bespoke needs of our rural children in a 21st century society. At the heart of our intent, is ensuring that our children gain the skills and knowledge of, not just their locale, but the wider world, and not just the here and now but also the past, to ensure they have a broad and wide set of skills and knowledge to best serve them going forward into a yet unknown world. The broad set of skills and knowledge that we set out to teach will be taught in a multi-sensory fashion. This will incorporate not only use of pen, paper and books but will extend to research conducted online and in person, it will include hands on learning experiences in school, on site in our extensive grounds and on trips or with visitors. THE POST Seething & Mundham Primary School is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our School as soon as possible. This fixed term role will support the professional work of teachers and our Assistant SENCo, as directed. Hours of work, 22.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:45–13:45.  The successful candidates will: Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of establishing and maintaining trusted, positive relationships with children, including those with diverse or additional needs. Have GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Mathematics, previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment and have Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.  Be committed to the school’s high standards of teaching, learning and professional development. Have excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour. Understand the importance of an inclusive environment and high expectations on pupil behaviour. Have a welcoming and friendly approach with a high level of professionalism. Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils in adherence with the school procedures while in play areas, the dining hall, classrooms or anywhere on the school site.
