Datchet St Mary’s C of E Primary Academy is a warm, welcoming one-form entry village primary school serving a close-knit community. With 194 pupils and 24 nursery children, we pride ourselves on nurturing every child in a supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include: Providing support to pupils to achieve learning goals e.g. guided reading and phonic sessions Supervising pupils for a particular curriculum activity under the guidance of a qualified teacher Assisting with the day to day routines of a classroom Assisting the teacher in monitoring pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed. supporting the teacher in the development and implementation of intervention programs Assisting in maintaining classroom discipline through the implementation of the schools behaviour management strategies You will be able to show: Your ability to work as part of a very enthusiastic team Commitment, flexibility and energy Excellent behavioural management skills A knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment (desirable, not essential) To be willing to undertake suitable training for your own professional development. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and patient Be proactive, reliable, and a strong team player Qualifications & Experience: Ideally, you will hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Years Experience working with young children is desirable but not essential A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Why Join Us?
