Are you adept at managing supportive learning environments for students who face significant barriers to engagement? Join us as a Bridge Coordinator, where you will serve as the Gatekeeper and manager of the Bridge provision. This role is integral to the Deep Support team, focusing on re-engaging vulnerable students by providing tailored resources, developing study and social skills, and managing strategic behavioural interventions. You will efficiently manage the operations of the Bridge provision, coordinating lesson work for students by liaising directly with teaching staff and producing specialized resources (e.g., for Anger Management or Social Skills). Key administrative duties include assisting the Inclusion Co-ordinator with special needs procedures and producing individual reduced timetables for students. You will administer and assess routine tests, invigilate exams, and act as a crucial point of contact for vulnerable students, the EWO, and parents. Furthermore, you will manage initiatives like the 'Behaviour for Learning' programme and SEN Raising Boys' Achievement.
Qualifications We are looking for candidates who possess a Level 3 relevant qualification, or equivalent, in Education or Childcare. Essential experience includes working in a school environment and demonstrating knowledge of issues affecting students and young people and how to offer supportive assistance. Key skills required are highly effective communication, excellent time management and organisation skills, and proficiency in using standard ICT packages. The ability to relate sympathetically to students and maintain strict confidentiality is essential.
