Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Grade F: Point 20-25 36 working hours per week (Term Time Only) required for September 2026 Mottram CE Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive primary school at the heart of its community. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes in the absence of a teacher Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons Provide targeted intervention and support to pupils to improve outcomes Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and purposeful learning environment Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment activities where required Minor subject co-ordinator role What We Are Looking For A qualified HLTA or an experienced TA3 ready to take the next step Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies Ability to lead learning confidently and manage whole-class situations A proactive and flexible approach, with strong organisational skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting every child to succeed **We strongly encourage all applicants to review the attached job specification carefully, ensuring that their skills, experience, and qualifications align with the requirements of the role before submitting an application.
