St John’s Primary School (Redhill) is seeking to appoint an organised, proactive and highly professional Operations Manager to play a key role in the effective day-to-day running of the school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior administrator or operations professional who thrives in a varied role and is passionate about supporting children’s education through excellent operational leadership. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will help ensure that the school operates efficiently, safely and effectively, providing the very best environment for pupils, staff and visitors. As Operations Manager, you will oversee the school's administrative and operational functions, leading support services and ensuring compliance across a wide range of areas. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing administrative support services, including reception, finance and premises functions. Supporting compliance, GDPR and data protection processes. Managing facilities, maintenance programmes and contractor relationships. Coordinating health and safety procedures, risk assessments and emergency planning. Overseeing payroll administration, cover arrangements and aspects of HR administration. Managing the Single Central Record. Working with IT providers to ensure technology effectively supports teaching and learning. Acting as a key point of contact for external agencies and community stakeholders. Coordinating school lettings and events to maximise community engagement and income generation. Supporting the strategic and operational objectives of the school and wider Trust. The ideal candidate will: Have 3-5 years’ experience in operations management, office management or senior administration. Have excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills. Is confident using Microsoft Office applications. Understands GDPR and the importance of confidentiality. Can prioritise competing demands and work effectively under pressure. Is a positive team player who can build strong relationships with staff, pupils, parents and wider stakeholders. Is committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
