Midday Supervisor - SEND Unit Wood End Infant & Pre-School, Stantonbury, Milton Keynes Hours: 1.5 hours a day, 7.5 hours - Term Time Only Salary: Β£4,385 Actual, Grade B1 Contract: Permenant Start Date: September 2026 Wood End Infant & Pre-School is a small, welcoming and nurturing school at the heart of the Stantonbury community. We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team, supporting children within our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Unit during lunchtime periods. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and playing with children whilst also helping them enjoy a positive and safe lunchtime experience. The Role As a Midday Supervisor, you will: Support pupils within the SEND Unit during lunchtime. Help children develop independence, communication and social skills. Support pupils with a range of additional needs Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed school strategies. Assist with eating, personal care and hygiene routines where required. Promote engaging and inclusive play activities. Ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of all children at all times. Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and senior leaders to provide consistent support. We Are Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a school, specialist setting or childcare environment. Demonstrates patience, empathy and understanding. Can build positive relationships with children Is calm and resilient when supporting children with complex needs. Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Shares our commitment to inclusion and child-centred practice. Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
