Teacher of Law with 2nd Subject - MAT Cover We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Law to join our dedicated team, delivering the highest quality education for our popular and successful A Level Law course. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to teach A Level Law, with a passion for fostering academic excellence and student engagement. While the ability to offer an additional subject is advantageous, it is not essential. Key Duties To have responsibility for planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities in line with AQA A Level Law. To ensure student achievement within these groups is at least in line with expectations. To be accountable for progress and achievement of students within these groups. To have responsibility for the pastoral care of an identified tutor group. To implement school policies and procedures as appropriate in day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will QTS Have experience of teaching A Level Law and a good knowledge of the OCR A Level Law curriculum. Be willing and committed to developing and sharing outstanding teaching practice. Knowledge of how to assess pupils’ understanding effectively and respond to any gaps immediately A commitment to exceptionally high expectations of pupil conduct and a track record of excellent behaviour management The ability to work as part of a team and undertake pastoral duties as a form tutor Demonstrable commitment to inclusive teaching and learning Have the ability to teach a 2nd subject A willingness to ‘go the extra mile’ so that pupils have exceptional experiences The ability to work in partnership with students, parents, staff, academy council and the wider community. Have resilience, adaptability and a can-do attitude. Job specifics Start date September 2026 Salary AST 1-12 (dependent of actual experience). Salary will be pro rata for part-time.
