Job title: Teacher of Science (Physics) Salary: MPS/UPS + London Fringe. Hours: Full time Responsible to: Head of Faculty for Science Contract: Permanent from September 2026 We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified Teacher of Physics to teach across the age and ability range in a Science Faculty that achieves excellent results. We are looking for an enthusiastic and imaginative individual to join a friendly, supportive and committed team who will help our students to ‘achieve their potential and enjoy the journey’. Each science subject is predominantly taught by subject specialists, though science staff contribute outside their specialism at KS3. We welcome applications from ECTs as well as experienced teachers and have a full programme of induction and support for teachers at whatever stage they are at in their career. Candidates interested in teaching subjects other than Science are welcome to apply, but this is not a requirement. Please make any other subjects offered clear on your application form. A recruitment and retention allowance may be available to a suitably qualified candidate. STEM subjects are highly valued and we are determined to challenge traditional stereotypes and to help our pupils break through any glass ceilings they may encounter. The Faculty is exceptionally well resourced, with new laboratories and modern equipment. The enrichment offered to pupils is extensive including an annual Science Fair, Forensic Science Day, engineering visits, Biology and Physics Weeks and many other trips and visits and guest speakers, including outreach work with local primary schools.
