Vacancy for Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) Orton Wistow Primary School Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 5, Point 5 £16,330 (Annual Salary) £25,583 (FTE) Hours: 27.5 Hours a Week Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm including a 1 hour break. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within our Alternative Provision (AP) room, supporting a small group of children with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a committed and supportive team who are passionate about providing the very best outcomes for our children. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and regulate their emotions within a nurturing and structured environment. We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and proactive, with a strong understanding of how to support children with complex needs. Experience of working with children with additional and/or complex needs is essential. The ideal candidate Holds a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language. Understands how children learn. Is skilled at developing children’s self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners. Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.
