Barwell (WAC) Support Assistant Discovery Schools Academies Trust Ltd Salary: Grade 5 Pay Point 7-8 (£25,191- £25,590 per annum, approximate starting salary of £2,900) Hours: Part-time, 5 hours, 39 weeks per year Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 8:30 About the Role Discovery Schools Academies Trust Ltd are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Assistant. The successful candidate will be committed to providing inspirational and motivational environment for children afterschool/Breakfast club/WAC provision. First and foremost, we are seeking an inspiring, committed leader and team player. We will provide opportunities for our children to play, explore and learn, recognising their fundamental need to be physically active, to be cared for and to be nurtured according to the individual child’s needs. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: Level 2 NVQ or CACHE or working towards (Desirable) Paediatric First AID (Desirable) Experience: Experience of working with children in a play, childcare or out of school setting Experience of making inviting snacks (Desirable) Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of safeguarding and Health and Safety procedures Ability and willingness to undertake professional development Empathy with children and young people Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification to support your application.
