About the Role Weare seeking to appoint an Attendance and Pastoral Support Officer starting in September 2026. You will have experience of working in a school as an Attendance Officer or similar using Bromcom or a similiar role. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies. You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately. You will work closely with the Education Welfare Officer to provide effective attendance management which includes taking accurate registers, monitoring late students and contacting home if students are not present in school. You will also complete attendance trackers and produce weekly reports and statistics. Normal working hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm. It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.
