We are seeking a compassionate, proactive and resilient individual to join our team in a rewarding role focused on improving school attendance for children with persistent and severe absenteeism. As a Home School Link Worker (HSLW), you will play a vital role in helping children overcome barriers to education by working closely with students, families, school staff and external agencies. Through building positive relationships and providing practical, tailored support, you will help children re-engage with education and develop positive attendance habits that can have a lasting impact on their future. This is a varied and hands-on role that involves working both in school and within the community. You will regularly visit families at home, support children to attend school, and collaborate with pastoral teams, attendance officers, social care and other professionals to identify barriers and develop effective action plans. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to build trust with families while maintaining professional boundaries. You will be confident working independently, managing a varied caseload, and working collaboratively with a range of partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.
