The Teacher Industry Exchange Coordinator will lead the planning, delivery and quality assurance of the Governmentβs new initiative, which aims to strengthen collaboration between education and industry. The role involves developing and coordinating industry placements for teachers, enabling them to gain current, sector-specific knowledge and real-world experience that can be applied directly to curriculum planning, teaching practice and student career guidance.
Working closely with employers, schools, colleges and training providers, the Coordinator will identify and develop placement opportunities, broker partnerships, manage programme logistics and provide ongoing support to participants. The postholder will oversee all stages of the exchange programme, including recruitment, matching teachers with employers, monitoring placement quality and evaluating outcomes. They will also gather evidence of impact, ensure programme targets are met and share good practice across the network.
The role requires a proactive individual who can build strong professional relationships, engage a wide range of stakeholders and promote the value of technical education. Acting as a key link between industry and education, the Coordinator will help ensure teaching remains aligned to current workforce needs, supporting improved student outcomes, stronger employer engagement and the development of a skilled regional workforce.
