Parliament Hill School is looking to appoint Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in teaching and learning and contribute to a purposeful learning environment. You would be expected to work with individual and small groups of students to help to develop speaking and listening skills.
This role requires an individual with strong previous experience of working with and developing young people. Candidates will need excellent communication skills. We welcome candidates who can evidence continuous professional development. Some Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supporting Form Tutors ➢ To cover a.m/p.m registration as directed by the TA Lead and support targeted students in registration. 2. Provide adapted and structured teaching/learning activities to support students ➢ To provide clearly structured teaching and learning activities to motivate students to advance their learning. ➢ To advance students’ learning including working with individuals, small groups and in whole classes 3. To make appropriate links within the Inclusion Department and subject areas to ensure policies and agreed practice is followed ➢ To use behaviour management strategies, in line with the school’s policy and procedures, which contribute to a purposeful learning environment
