Teaching Assistant - Social Inclusion Unit 28 hours per week, Permanent LGAT 10 Β£29,191.00 - LGAT 12 Β£30,788.00 pro rata. Actual Salary: LGAT 10 Β£18,886.58 - LGAT 12 Β£19,919.83 Dependent on Experience Term time + Inset days (195 days per year) Closing Date: 13 July 26 We are seeking to recruit a versatile Teaching Assistant who will play a key role in supporting students and staff at our Academy. We are looking for someone who believes in inclusion for all students and is able to implement strategies to support children with SEND. Responsibilities will include working 1:1 to support children with additional needs and supporting the class teacher with groups of children or individuals in the classroom. The role will involve working with children to support any social, emotional or behavioural needs. To assist students, including those with SEN, to maximise access to the curriculum, To work under the direction of the teacher in a class based environment using teaching aides and other methods of support To help support and promote the Academy behaviour policy The purpose of the role is to support pupils in their pastoral development. The role provides an opportunity to engage positively with pupils, parents and staff to embed our academy values and promote the highest standards of behaviour and achievement. The smooth running of the internal isolation rooms is key and this role has direct responsibility for the behaviour and wellbeing of pupils that have not met our behaviour expectations. The successful applicant will be experienced in working with young people with the ability to lead by example. Candidates must be enthusiastic, positive and committed to building strong professional relationships with children and adults. You will need to be motivated, have a flexible and calm approach and be able to respond to the needs of the school.
