Salary: starting at Β£29,241.91 per annum, rising annually to Β£31,455.61.per annum (Scale 5 inclusive of Outer London Weighting) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:00am to 4:00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break), term-time only plus INSET days Required for September 2026 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to become our Sixth Form Learning Mentor. This role would be ideally suited to a recent graduate who is looking to enter the teaching profession and/or work in education. This role will include working with post-16 students to support their learning and maximise their chance of success at university and beyond including helping them develop both their academic and wider skills. The successful applicant will: act as a role model and mentor for learners, implementing and monitoring strategies to raise aspirations and attainment in students and encourage progression to higher education and beyond; have knowledge of current career options for students and first-hand knowledge of the UCAS application process; plan and implement various learning strategies to help support students in achieving their potential; develop good relationships with all students by establishing a positive, professional presence within the Sixth Form and responding appropriately to individual needs; encourage the development of academic skills.
