Vacancy for School Counsellor/Wellbeing Support Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 8, Points 19-24 Hours: 37 hours p/w - 39 weeks p/y We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would like to join our friendly and hardworking team as School Counsellor/Wellbeing Support. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a capable and nurturing counsellor who is able to provide high quality, valuable one-to-one counselling to our pupils and contribute to their continued development. The Opportunity Lead on all counselling services to pupils provided by the school. Provide independent and confidential counselling service to pupils through individual sessions. Promote a caring and supportive environment, support and advise vulnerable children and their families. Promote mental and emotional health. The ideal candidate: Has a Level 3 or 4 qualification in counselling or Psychotherapy. Is confident and resilient, patient and nurturing, and wants to help us to support our pupils to thrive and develop into successful young people. Is interested in playing an active role in safeguarding children and adhering to our policies. Can act on their own initiative. Is motivated, passionate, and reflective about their work. Demonstrates an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.
