Learning Support Assistant Salary: Thurrock Band A Point 1 - 6 (£16,858.17 - £18,043.82 per annum) 30 hours 25 minutes per week Monday - Friday 8:25am - 3pm (30 min unpaid break) 37 weeks of the year - term time only Fixed Term to 31st August 2027 Start Date: 3rd September 2026 Arthur Bugler Primary School wishes to appoint aLearning Support Assistant who has a good understanding of child development and learning and would be willing to support children with both their physical and academic needs. You will have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey. You will need to understand the subjects that you support the children in, be able to demonstrate a fair attitude and apply rules consistently as well as be confident in adjusting learning programs to meet the child’s needs. You will be resilient, hardworking and have excellent de-escalation skills. The successful candidate will be: Passionate, creative, and motivated with a positive outlook, able to remain calm under pressure. Committed to supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, emotional needs, and overall welfare. Dedicated to raising outcomes for all students through innovation and continuous improvement. A strong communicator with excellent organisational and written skills, able to multi-task effectively. An enthusiastic team player with good classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding.
