About the Role The Assistant Director of Year will work closely with the Director of Year and wider pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure high standards of behaviour, conduct and student support across a designated year group. You will play a vital role in monitoring, supporting and mentoring students, particularly those at risk of disengagement, poor behaviour or exclusion. The successful candidate will be passionate about improving outcomes for young people and committed to removing barriers to learning. Key responsibilities include: Provide proactive supervision and behaviour support across the school, with a focus on your allocated year group Monitor students throughout the school day, identifying and intervening with those at risk of poor behaviour Support the implementation of the academy behaviour policy and help students manage and improve their conduct Work directly with identified students through mentoring and targeted interventions Manage a caseload of students at risk of exclusion, developing tailored action plans to support progress Track and monitor behaviour, attendance, punctuality and academic progress data, ensuring timely interventions Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEND, safeguarding and attendance teams to support students’ needs Support transitions between lessons and provide in-class support where required to de-escalate behaviour Build positive relationships with students, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing and achievement Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interventions, progress and outcomes Promote equa
