Role: Learning Coach - 2 roles Hours: 37.5 hours per week; term time only (39 weeks per year) Salary : £25,918 per annum - £27,869 per annum Full Time Equivalent dependent upon experience, (pro rata salary £22,364 per annum - £24,047 per annum for term time only) plus Cost of Living increase in Autumn term Contract: Permanent Start date : September 2026 Glenmoor and Winton Academies are looking to appoint two outstanding and highly motivated individuals to join our dedicated and effective SEND team. The positions are: Learning coach with a specialism in English Learning coach with a specialism in Maths This is an exciting opportunity for two Learning Coaches to join our outstanding schools and be part of England's biggest Multi Academy Trust. These roles would suit someone with previous experience working in a school, or alternatively they would be ideal roles for a recent graduate who is looking to explore a career in education or potentially get on the career path to teaching. Furthermore, Glenmoor and Winton Academies offer the opportunity to complete teacher training via ‘United Teaching’. Working as a Learning Coach could count as invaluable experience for this if you are looking to pursue a career in teaching. As a Learning Coach, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of targeted literacy, numeracy, or mentoring intervention. You will work with students who need additional support to develop their reading, writing, number skills, social skills, and ensuring the students can access a full curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver targeted support via one-to-one or small group sessions. Assess students’ progress by tracking the effectiveness of the intervention and observing students in lessons. Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students. Provide feedback to teaching staff to support students in lessons. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to all stakeholders. Use a range of resources and strategies to engage students and foster an enjoyment of education. Support with Exam Access Arrangements Support with the day to day operational tasks within the SEND department. The successful candidate must: Be caring, patient and supportive with a positive attitude Passionate and hardworking to champion vulnerable students Have excellent communication skills Be able to motivate, inspire and encourage students Be resilient, resourceful and have high expectations of students’ achievement and behaviour Enjoy working as part of a hardworking team Be committed to professionally develop via our in-house CPD offer and external providers The successful candidate will ideally have a knowledge and understanding of: Barriers to students’ learning and strategies to overcome challenges Delivering targeted small group and 1:1 interventions Delivering maths and/ or English to KS3/4 students How children learn and how
