Grade: BG5 £25,185- £25583 FTE (£19,346.06-£19,651.78 Actual Salary) Contract: 32.5 Hours a week / Fixed term until August 2027 Interview date: 13th July 2026 Purpose: The roles will include a mixture of class-based activities and small group intervention, including 1:1 work. The year group will be decided dependent on the skillset of the successful applicant. The successful applicant will deliver specific interventions and an individualised curriculum to SEND pupils in line with their EHCPs, working under the direction of the class teacher and external agencies. Duties (further details in the attached application pack): Under the guidance of teaching staff and the SENCo Support the learning of individuals, or groups detached from the main work of the class, to achieve targets as defined by the teacher often but not exclusively with a particular emphasis on those with special needs. Assist in the development, monitoring and reviewing of children’s learning plans. Facilitate children’s general physical, emotional and educational development. Encouraging safe behaviour of individual and groups. Promote and reinforce positive attitudes to learning. Follow individual learning and support plans, under the guidance of relevant professional colleagues, to support the learning of children with additional needs. Offer empathetic and sympathetic listening, direct guidance and the provision of appropriate positive feedback on behaviour. Support assessment processes, keeping records for identified children and sharing these with the teacher as required. Lead activities and interventions and support classroom tasks Assist in carrying out intimate care in line with the school’s Intimate Care Policy where appropriate.
