Role: Cover Supervisor Hours: 37.5 hours per week, permanent, term time only Salary Grade: UL Band 2 vocational PayScale 3 - 9 (Β£25,918 - Β£30,261) Conditions of Service: United Learning Permanent Contract Start Date: September 2026 About the role We are seeking a confident, organised and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and work in a safe, positive and productive environment. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and support students in achieving high standards of conduct and achievement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of working with young people, considering a future career in teaching, or looking to make a positive contribution to the life of a thriving school community. We follow a warn remove policy where any student who disrupts learning, having been previously warned and given the opportunity to correct their behaviour, including opting out of work, is removed from the lesson.
