Venturers’ Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (Level 5/6) to join our specialist team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our pupils. Working within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment, you will play a vital role in enabling children and young people with a range of complex needs to access learning, develop independence, and reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred therapy and thrives in a collaborative educational setting. Key responsibilities: Assess the occupational therapy needs of pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, sensory, and developmental needs. Plan, implement, and evaluate individualised intervention programmes to support pupils’ access to learning and daily living skills. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to embed therapeutic strategies within the classroom and wider school environment. Provide specialist advice, guidance, and training to staff and parents/carers to ensure consistency of approach. Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including setting outcomes and reviewing progress. Pay range: NJC 36 - 40 - £44,689.07 - £48,643.57 FTE - £47,181.00 - £51,356.00 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year Permanent Qualifications and Skills: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy (BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent). Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. Experience of working with children and young people, ideally within a school or specialist education setting.
