Reigate School is seeking a committed and organised Food Technician to support our thriving Design & Technology / Food department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for food, education, and promoting high standards of health, safety, and hygiene. This is a part time role working 16 hours a week, 39 weeks a year. You will play a key role in preparing materials, supporting practical lessons, and ensuring that our food technology facilities run efficiently and safely. About You Experience in a school, laboratory, or food preparation environment is desirable but not essential. We are looking for someone who: Has an interest in food, nutrition, or food science Is highly organised with strong attention to detail Can work independently as well as part of a team Has good communication and interpersonal skills Is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment Key Responsibilities Prepare ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical food lessons Support teachers and students during food preparation sessions Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation in kitchens and classrooms Monitor stock levels and manage ordering of ingredients and supplies Assist with food product testing and basic evaluation activities Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g. HACCP) Clean and store equipment safely after lessons Support the department with administrative and organisational tasks What We Offer A fantastic working environment committed to collaborative working and high performance An excellent staff assistance programme with access to wellbeing and health initiatives, including counselling, physiotherapy, menopause and financial advice Membership of a local government pension scheme with very competitive employer contribution rates The closing date for applications is Friday 3 July 2026 at 9am .
