About the role

We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants at Eresby Special School. Eresby Special School is a specialist Academy, for pupils aged 2 to 19 years with a diverse range of highly complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are situated in Spilsby in Lincolnshire and are fortunate to access to a wide range of services and providers in our local community, with whom we are proud to work alongside. About the role You would join our outstanding, talented and professional team, working alongside our amazing facilities which includes a therapy suite, sensory studio, life skills facility, hydrotherapy pool, independent living facilities, cycle track, sensory garden, horticultural area, workshop, extensive external spaces and many other areas. Hours of up to 30 per week are available but fixed daily hours of work will be 9am to 3.30pm (6 hours per day plus 30 min unpaid break). Flexibility on days worked will be discussed at interview. You will: Assist with the planning and preparation of activities, and in the delivery of local and national initiatives e.g. literacy and numeracy strategy Participate in the preparation of the classroom Monitor children’s needs and reporting these to a designated person. Have familiarity with all relevant statements of special educational needs specific to the child. Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social). Foster growth, self-esteem and independence, observe and record development Carry out reasonable daily personal care/hygiene duties and administer basic first aid
