We are seeking to
recruit a Science Technician to support
the Science Department Team in the provision of timely and effective support
for students and staff. The successful candidate will undertake the following
tasks:
perform laboratory tests in order to
produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations;
carry out routine tasks accurately and
to carry out analyses;
prepare samples and solutions;
construct, maintain and operate
standard laboratory equipment, for example ensure the laboratory is
well-stocked, resourced and tidy;
keeping up to date with technical
developments, especially those which can save time and improve
reliability;
keeping up to date with Health and
Safety requirements
following and ensuring strict safety
procedures and safety checks are adhered to.
