LEVEL 2 TEACHING ASSISTANT x2 VACANCIES CAMBRIDGE PARK ACADEMY Scale point: 3 Salary: Β£24,796 Full-time equivalent, Β£18,713 Actual salary Hours of work: 32.5/week, Mon 8.40am - 4.30pm, Tues/Weds/Fri 8.40am - 3.10pm, Thurs 8.40am - 4.20pm Contract: Permanent, Term-time + 5 training days Start date: September 2026 Cambridge Park Academy is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to join our dedicated team of Teaching Assistants, supporting children and young people aged 3β19 with a diverse range of learning needs. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our pupils. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting children with a variety of abilities and disabilities and be prepared to work across all age groups within the school. Previous experience working with children with learning disabilities, along with relevant knowledge and skills, would be advantageous. JOB REQUIREMENTS: β’ Supervises and provides specialist support for individuals with SEN, disabilities, personal and health needs, EAL, etc. ensuring their safety and access to learning activities β’ Support pupils in implementing their own personal care programmes, providing extra support for those unable to be independent with social, welfare, care and health matters, including toileting, dressing, feeding, mobility, use of personal/learning aides, etc β’ Prepares, maintains and uses resources to meet the lesson plans/learning activity and assists learners in their use. β’ Promotes good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures, encouraging learners to take responsibility for their own behaviour β’ Develops displays within and outside the classroom THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: β’ Experience of working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults in a learning environment who have multiple and complex Special Educational Needs β’ An understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and other codes of practice e.g. SEN, Equalities, Safeguarding β’ Effective use of ICT to support teaching and learning β’ Ability to interact well using courtesy, tact and diplomacy and negotiation skills β’ Ability to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners/colleagues and children and young people If you believe you are the right person for the job, then we would love to hear from you.
