About this Role The Pioneer Learning Trust is a small but growing Trust of collaborative schools in Luton and Bedford. The Trust currently consists of The Ferrars Academy, Chantry Primary Academy, Southfield Primary Academy, Whitefield Primary Academy, Ferrars Junior School, Warden Hill Infant School, and Lakeview School. The Ferrars Academy is a very popular, successful and well resourced academy; rated Good by Ofsted, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence in education, for infant and nursery aged children. We are located on the outskirts of Luton close to the M1, A5 link roads and the L&D hospital. Our 3 form entry school has a very diverse school population with a range of different languages, religions and cultures. Our children are well behaved and learn in a vibrant and friendly environment. About the job We have a vacancy for a Wraparound Care Coordinator in our Before School and After School provision. Hours of Work Monday - Friday 7:30am - 9:00am and then 3:00pm - 5:15pm, term time only (38 weeks per year) (18.75 hours per week) This is a permanent position. A L3 Qualification in Childcare is essential. First Aid and Basic Hygiene certificates would also be desirable but full training will be given. This role involves: Communicating with parents and children Setting out the provision of healthy snacks and recreational activities Serving and helping children with eating healthy snacks and encouraging good healthy eating habits Engaging effectively with the children in your care Ensuring children are safe and happy Display high expectations of pupil behaviour Clearing away snacks, resources and activities leaving a tidy environment Demonstrating a positive attitude and good interpersonal communication skills Working well as part of a team In return we can offer you: A vibrant and positive working environment Well behaved children Friendly and welcoming staff A range of staff benefits and incentives including discounted wrap around care fees, online shopping parcel drop off facilities and free refreshments Additional information: Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide effective help or advice in fluently spoken English.
