About the Role As a SEND Teacher at Southfield, you will: Deliver creative, engaging and personalised learning for pupils with complex needs Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child can succeed Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals Track, assess and celebrate pupil progress and development Contribute to the wider life, vision and continuous improvement of the school You will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, independence, communication skills and a love of learning. Who Weβre Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about inclusive education and enabling every child to reach their potential Demonstrates strong classroom practice and behaviour management Is resilient, reflective and nurturing in their approach Enjoys working as part of a committed and supportive team Has high expectations for themselves and their pupils Can deliver a commitment to SEND and inclusive practice Desirables would include experience working with autism and complex needs and knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, Makaton or sensory approaches Southfield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
