Pilgrim Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Administrator to join the School from September 2026. Post: Administrator - Term-time only Location: Oxford Street, Stonehouse, Plymouth PL1 5BQ Salary Range: Administrator - Grade C, Β£25,583 rising to a maximum of Β£26,403, per annum pro-rata Actual Salary: Administrator - Β£22,766 rising to a maximum of Β£23,496 per annum Hours/Contract: 37 hours per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per year Monday to Friday The Role: Pilgrim Primary Academy is looking to recruit an experienced Administrator to join our dedicated office team. The job involves working within recognised procedures and will include reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries from a range of stakeholders including parents, staff and students. General administrative duties including maintenance of manual and computerised records/management systems, financial administration e.g. collects and records dinner money and undertaking specific duties that support the day to day administrative operations of the school. This important role includes: Contributing to improving school attendance and improving persistent absence Supporting students and families through building and maintaining positive relationships Administering school admissions and investigating absences Making assessments and plans for returning students Producing data reports and working with outside agencies such as the Education Welfare Officer and County Council for admissions. General office duties, greeting our families and students at reception and supporting parents with any queries they might have We are looking for an individual who is: Friendly, approachable, and welcoming, with the ability to quickly build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and visitors Able to think on their feet and respond calmly and effectively to a variety of situations that may arise throughout the school day Engaging and enthusiastic when interacting with students, supporting a positive and inclusive school culture Highly organised with good attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively A confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a professional and courteous manner Flexible and adaptable, responding positively to the changing needs of a busy school environment A team player who contributes positively to the wider school community and supports colleagues when needed The successful candidate will bring energy, resilience, and a genuine interest in supporting young people, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
