Actual Annual Salary: £27,362 - £29,850 (Based on 37 hours per week, Term Time only + Inset days)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £31,954 - £34,860 (CLF Grade D) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round

We are seeking a confident, adaptable and committed Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and talented team at Broadoak Academy. As part of a diverse and ambitious multi-academy trust, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality education and improving outcomes and life chances for every student.
As a cover supervisor you will be confident, flexible and able to work under pressure, you will be teaching a range of different lessons over the course of a day and week, sometimes with little notice as the demand of the day dictates This is a highly rewarding role, being a consistent lesson cover within the Academy, playing your part in our students learning and development
Beyond classroom cover, you will contribute more broadly to student success. When not covering lessons, you will support teaching and learning across the academy, working with individuals and groups of students, including those with additional needs. You may also contribute to interventions, exam invigilation and other student-facing responsibilities. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, providing clear and constructive feedback following lessons to support continuity and progression in learning.
You will build strong, professional relationships with both students and colleagues, supporting a culture of high expectations, inclusion and respect. The role requires the ability to respond to challenges with confidence and professionalism, adapt to changing priorities and contribute positively to the wider life of the academy

Have experience of working with children and young people and a genuine passion for supporting their development
Be confident in managing classroom behaviour and creating a calm, focused learning environment
Be able to quickly assimilate information and deliver pre-prepared lesson content effectively
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tasks clearly and provide accurate feedback
Have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
Build positive and professional relationships with students, teachers and wider staff
Hold a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, with strong literacy and numeracy skills
