Meadowbrook College Β· Oxford, South East
About this role We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, professional and dedicated individual, with proven experience, to take on responsibility at the college as a Safeguarding and Welfare Support Officer at our Banbury Site. You will ensure the safety of all students on base by providing a range of interventions and support, at both individual and group level, and by building robust safeguarding processes which result in improved outcomes and opportunities for the young people and their families we work with. You will be a talented and skilled practitioner working alongside the DSL, and other identified professionals, on our base in Banbury. You will provide the appropriate interventions to support students according to their needs and with regards to safeguarding and child protection. This is a unique opportunity to make a substantial contribution to further improving outcomes for a significant group of vulnerable and challenging learners and to shape and develop provision across the school. You may be expected to work across all four of the academyβs sites, which are located across Oxfordshire, in order to support students you have in your caseload. You must be able to drive and have your own vehicle. What we can offer/about our school Meadowbrook College staff are both professional and resilient. There is a βcan doβ attitude that makes a real difference to the lives of our students; many of whom have become disengaged with education and lost the confidence to achieve their full potential. We offer a variety of opportunities for ongoing professional development for all staff - we are working in an ever-changing and expanding educational climate where the need for alternative provision solutions is increasing. You will be supporting children across the age groups and working closely with other colleagues on base. Working alongside the DSL and Deputy DSLs and wider leadership team, the successful applicant will be able to have a direct impact on realising the values of the academy and supporting our most vulnerable youngsters. You will be committed to creating opportunities for our young people to feel able to access, and engage with, their learning in order to secure the best outcomes for themselves whilst at Meadowbrook College. You will be a resourceful, creative, dedicated and enthusiastic member of our team. If you have a passion for finding solutions in the most challenging of circumstances and a clear commitment to supporting and developing the vision for Meadowbrook and the Trust, then I would love to hear from you. Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone.
