Northampton School (part of The NSB Trust) is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic member of staff to provide technical support for the school’s pupils, staff, parents, governors and visitors whilst working towards and completing an apprenticeship as a Level 3 IT Technician. Working within a busy IT services team supporting up to 1,100 users, the role involves first-line support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and assisting with the effective use of digital technologies that support teaching and learning. The post holder will contribute to the smooth operation of Trust IT systems and classroom technologies, while adhering to data protection, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements. This is a developmental role, with a strong focus on learning, skills development, and progression within IT support. About You You must have great organisational skills, be motivated, determined, flexible, resilient and a self-starter; You must have a willingness to learn and be part of a pro-active team to identity and address any issues; You must be professional and a good communicator when working with staff, students and outside agencies; You must have an excellent standard of literacy, numeracy, ICT skills and general education; You must have a positive approach to challenge and change and ensure the overall well-being of students; You must ensure that the school is a pleasant and secure learning environment so that all students feel safe.
