About the role

Salary: M1 - M6 (£32,916 - £45,352) / UPS1-3 (£47,472 - £51,0478) Contract: Part time, 0.6, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Closing Date: Monday 29 June 2026 at 9am Interview Date: Wednesday 1 July, Time TBC Due to a change in work patterns, we are seeking to appoint a part-time KS1 or KS2 class teacher to join our team from September 2026. This role will be 0.6 FTE, working Wednesday to Friday in the first year. Depending on experience, there will be opportunities for further career development, including subject leadership, as well as mentoring ECTs and/or coaching other members of teaching staff. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion and demonstrate the ability to inspire, engage, and motivate all children to achieve their full potential. In addition to meeting the teachers’ standards, we are specifically looking for someone who: Is passionate about teaching and learning and knows there is always more to learn to become the most effective teacher you can be Can demonstrate effective teaching which leads to strong outcomes for all pupils is reflective about their own teaching - using evidence informed research to develop their craft wants to work with, and learn from, other teachers and leaders in our school and the Trust that we belong to is willing to go the extra mile for our pupils and their families Key Responsibilities of the role (please see pack for further details): Planning, teaching and learning To meet the Teachers’ Standards as outlined by the Department of Education. To teach children in a designated class and designated school, a high quality and appropriate curriculum which ensures good or better progress for pupils. Plan, monitor and evaluate effective and differentiated programmes of work, including homework in line with school expectations, proportionate to the role and agreed areas of responsibility in a job-share context. Assess, record and report on children’s development, progress and attainment, setting clear targets which build on prior learning, in line with school expectations and agreed job-share arrangements To make reasonable adjustments for any SEND children within the designated class. Identify able pupils and those with special educational needs, working with the SENCO, external agencies, staff and parents to give positive and targeted support where needed. Develop positive relationships with parents and contribute to formal parent meetings (minimum of three times per year), working collaboratively within the job-share partnership. To complete paperwork for identified SEND children in a timely manner as directed by the SENCO and senior leadership team. Maintain a well-organised, safe and tidy learning environment and provide a high standard of display both in the classroom/work area and around the school.
