Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team, working across both our Primary and Secondary Phases. About the Role The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils within the classroom, working closely with class teachers and under the guidance of the SENDCo team. You will help ensure that pupils receive the support they need to overcome barriers, make good progress, and enjoy their learning experience. Key Responsibilities Provide in-class support to pupils across a range of subjects and age groups Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENDCo team to implement support strategies Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Encourage pupil engagement and independence Support pupils’ emotional and social development Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support provided The Ideal Candidate Will: Be endlessly positive about the impact they can have on pupils’ school experience Demonstrate a growth mindset and inspire this in pupils Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff Be a role model for a positive attitude towards learning and school life Be adaptable, patient, and committed to inclusive education This Role is Well-Suited For: Individuals seeking school experience prior to undertaking initial teacher training Those who have recently completed a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship Candidates with previous experience in a similar role
