About the role Working closely with the Governance Lead, you will deliver a first-class governance support service, ensuring compliance, best practice, and efficient governance operations across the Trust. This is a varied position combining governance, compliance, and high-level administration, where your judgement, professionalism, and attention to detail will be essential. Key responsibilities Provide expert advice to Trustees and governance stakeholders on legal, constitutional, and procedural matters Ensure the Trust meets all statutory and regulatory requirements Plan and manage governance meetings, including agenda setting, attendance, and minute-taking Maintain accurate and compliant records, ensuring policy adherence Monitor developments in legislation and governance best practice Support recruitment, induction, and training of governance members Coordinate hearings and panels (e.g., complaints, exclusions, disciplinary matters) Provide guidance on data protection, FOI, and subject access requests Ensure school websites and policies remain compliant and up to date Build strong communication systems across all levels of governance
