SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Level C Millgate School Salary: Grade 7 Pay Point 11-14 (£26,832 - £28,146 per annum, approximate starting salary of £21,095.26 per annum) Hours: 34 Hours per week; 39 Weeks per year (Term time only plus INSET days) Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Monday and Thursday: 08:20am to 16:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 08:20am to 15:10pm About the Role Millgate School We are looking for a caring, experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work alongside the class teacher to support learning in class, to join our team and be a proactive integrated member of the School Staff Team. This provides children with continuity of care.” - OFSED Key Responsibilities: To plan and provide specialist support to pupils with identified disabilities, SEN, sensory impairments and complex needs to access a broad and balanced curriculum of education by modifying and adapting learning activities as appropriate. Supports the special education and personal social wellbeing of pupils by adapting and differentiating activities to enable them to access the curriculum under the direction and guidance of teachers or advisory staff. To assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment using detailed specialist knowledge. To support parents and enable them to understand their children’s complex needs and give sound advice in regards of their child’s education. To provide appropriate supervision to individuals or groups in a variety of settings; including school, Pupils home environment or unit monitoring their conduct and behaviour. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification e.g. Teaching Assistant awards, English GCSE (A*-C), Level 2 Basic Skills Literacy, CACHE
