About the role

Primary School. We are looking for an

enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, who enjoys supporting children with SEND in a

mainstream setting. The posts will be in

Key Stage 2 providing 1:1 support as well as general class support. The hours for these posts are 32.5 hours per week, term time

only, Monday – Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm. Both roles are fixed term one for a

year and the second is a maternity cover until May 2027, starting September

2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and

versatile person to join our fantastic team of staff. Visitors to our school always comment on how

supportive & friendly our staff are and the positive atmosphere we have

around school. Pudsey Bolton Royd is a ‘good’ school (OFSTED Nov 2023)

where we ‘have high expectations for what pupils learn and experience’, have

‘high levels of engagement in lessons’ and ‘staff build positive relationships

This is open to qualified or

non-qualified Teaching Assistant, experience of working with SEND children

preferably of children with autism, SEMH or behavioural issues is desirable but

not essential.

We are looking for a Teaching

Assistant who will:

Support the needs of individual children within

the classroom Have a calm and nurturing attitude Have high expectations within the classroom

setting through commitment to raising the standard of learning for all pupils Demonstrate a positive attitude towards all

aspects of their work Have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum Work well as part of a team

The right candidate will have:

Good literacy and numeracy skills. An ability to work on their own initiative. A high level of communication skills and the

ability to relate positively to children and adults. The ability to use relevant

technology/equipment. A can-do, enthusiastic attitude.

A commitment to the

happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
