We are looking to appoint a full time Behaviour Support Worker to provide 1:1 and group support to our students. You will specialise in providing personalised support to students who face barriers to learning due to behaviour, social or emotional circumstances or other complex needs. You will support all students to overcome barriers to learning, fostering trust and positive relationships to encourage re-engagement with school or lessons. You will develop and implement personalised mentoring plans, creating a nurturing environment, using praise and rewards, collaborating with families to build trust and support engagement, ensuring students’ wellbeing and academic success. A key part of your work will be delivering tailored interventions - 1:1 support, small group work, and restorative practices to break down barriers to learning. You will be part of our safeguarding team and will also work closely with the SENDCO, and Senior Leadership Team to ensure a holistic, team approach. This is a crucial role for our young people, and we are looking for a compassionate, organised, calm, dedicated, flexible and experienced mentor. The successful applicant will: have a compassionate, relational approach to working with students; have experience of working in a school or similar environment; have strong communication skills and the ability to work with students, families, and external agencies; have the highest expectations of students; high levels of empathy, patience, and resilience - ready to work with vulnerable students.; have the ability to track and manage data effectively, ensuring follow-up and intervention strategies are implemented; be organised and efficient.
