About Our School Wainscott Primary School and Nursery is a warm, ambitious and forward-thinking school at the heart of its community in Rochester, Medway. The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and experienced leader to play a pivotal role in the next chapter of our school's journey. Working closely with our Headteacher, Monique Clark, you will share accountability for the quality of education, the wellbeing of all pupils and staff, and the school's ongoing improvement β and you will act as Headteacher in their absence. Across seven areas of leadership, you will: Shape and deliver the school's strategic vision, embedding our values of Tolerance, Resilience, Curiosity and Creativity in all aspects of school life Champion outstanding teaching and learning, leading on curriculum development and using monitoring and evaluation to drive improvement Lead, coach and develop staff at all career stages, building a culture of ambition, collaboration and professional growth Promote the welfare and wellbeing of every pupil, acting as or supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead in line with KCSIE Use pupil performance data with rigour and precision to evaluate impact and inform strategic decisions Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, governors, the local authority and the wider trust network Model the highest standards of professional conduct and a commitment to your own continued development Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who brings: Proven primary school leadership experience and a sustained track record of raising pupil outcomes A deep understanding of the Headteacher Standards and what exceptional educational leadership looks like in practice The ability to inspire and motivate staff and children alike, with warmth, energy and high expectations Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, SEND and inclusion β and how to translate this into excellent practice The confidence to deputise for the Headteacher and make considered decisions under pressure A values-driven approach and the commitment to hold or work towards the NPQH A genuine belief that every child, regardless of background, can achieve their very best What We Offer A supportive, ambitious and collegiate leadership team led by an experienced Headteacher A happy, well-behaved school commun
