About the role

Robert Miles Junior School is a happy and thriving school set in the middle of Bingham. Children achieve well in our school, behaviour is good, and the school has good links with the community and families.   We are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant to come and join our happy school community.  This is an ideal opportunity for you to work in a supportive environment and to share and develop your skills and expertise.  The role will involve working alongside the class teacher, other teaching assistants and the school SENCO to support children with communication and interaction; cognition and learning and personal care needs on a 1:1 basis, helping to equip them with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in an inclusive, supportive learning environment.  As part of Equals Trust, you will have access to high quality professional development, collaborative working and a highly skilled, supportive and experienced team of senior leaders, including other local schools, across the Trust.   We are looking for a practitioner who:   1.    Enjoys being with children and puts children’s well-being at the heart of all they do 2.    Has experience of working with children with SEND and has high aspirations for their achievement 3.    Has experience of delivering the RWI Phonics programme. 4.    Believes in every child and makes sure all individuals are appropriately supported 5.    Believes in the capacity of all young people to learn and grow, despite the various challenges they face. 6.    Can show initiative solutions, creativity and resilience 7.    Is a strong team player, willing to go the extra mile to make school a great experience for our pupils 8.    Demonstrates a good standard of written and spoken English 9.    Has the determination, energy and creativity to make learning memorable and inspiring 10. Works well in a team, valuing every member of the school community 11. Has a positive attitude and is willing to share ideas and learning 12. Has the enthusiasm and talent to contribute to extra-curricular and community life at our school 13. Has a positive attitude 14. Has high ambition for pupils with SEND and those who have English as an additional language to ensure they can access all opportunities to learn in a nurturing and inclusive environment 15. Is a good team-player with strong communication and interpersonal skills 16. Is enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated 17. Is a reflective practitioner who is keen to develop     In return we can offer you:   ·         Children who are rewarding to teach and who thrive on success, nurture and positive rel
