Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Byron Wood Academy 37 hours per week | Term Time Only | Permanent Salary: Β£25,907 - Β£27,665 (pro rata) We are seeking a committed and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the dedicated team at Byron Wood Academy. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes in the absence of a teacher Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons Provide targeted intervention and support to pupils to improve outcomes Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and purposeful learning environment Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment activities where required What We Are Looking For A qualified HLTA or an experienced teaching assistant ready to take the next step Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies Ability to lead learning confidently and manage whole-class situations A proactive and flexible approach, with strong organisational skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting every child to succeed Interested in Applying?
